Bordertown Casino in Southern MO
Bordertown Bingo & Casino is owned and operated by the Eastern Shawnee Tribe. The new facility was completed in 2003 and encompasses a gaming facility to comfortably accommodate more games and more people. The new facility is also environmentally friendly and aesthetically pleasing utilizing a geothermal ground-source heat pump system for heat and air and for a state-of-the-art air filtration system. Air in the building is changed 12 times an hour (every 5 minutes) for smoke removal.
Moving up to more than 1,000 gaming machines added more new games to the electronic gaming area, which is open 24 hours and there are plans to add even more machines in the near future. New in the Paper Bingo hall is a 20-foot projector screen system for displaying the bingo numbers called.
Proceeds from Bordertown Bingo and Casino will continue to fund social programs for the tribal members including health care, education, child care, prescription drug assistance and children's clothing.
